Live streaming app Meerkat was recently launched for Android. Now its iOS app has been updated with Facebook integration, Mobbing and more. The latest update to Meerkat will let you post upcoming livestreams and livestreams currently airing to Facebook. The move also lets other users sign-in with Facebook to subscribe and view streams. Prior to this update, users need to be a Twitter user to sign up for Meerkat, but the addition of Facebook support makes Twitter accounts optional. The latest Meerkat version will also allow users to link to their phone contacts as a way to find new livestreams on the app. Another addition to the iOS app is “mobbing” that will push a popular stream to the app’s main activity feed. If your stream is mobbing, you’ll see a Meerkat flying around your screen in a rocket ship. Users will also now be able to turn their avatars into emojis as a way to react to a livestream in progress. You can download the Meerkat app from Apple App Store.
