Snapchat brings first Discover update that focuses on content sharing

Snapchat unveiled its Discover feature in January this year and now the popular ephemeral messaging service is bringing first update to the Discover feature that makes its easy for users to share content.

The latest update will allow users to message friends content from within Snapchat Discover. Android and iOS users will be able to share photos, videos and articles directly from Discover. For those unaware, Discover is Snapchat’s news and editorial platform that delivers daily stories and videos from the company, as well as 11 outside sources like Comedy Central, Vice, ESPN and CNN.

At the time of browsing in Discover, you can now select an item to share by tapping and holding on an image, video or article. After that you can add text or draw on images, just as you would with any other message in the app. The latest feature looks like a way to garner more users to Discover and increase engagement on Snapchat. Last month, Snapchat added friend emoji and low light camera to mobile apps
