Truecaller teams up with Cyanogen for a new dialer app

Truecaller has partnered with Cyanogen to bring its smart caller ID functionality to Cyanogen powered smartphones. The duo will build a new dialer up under this partnership.

The partnership with Cyanogen will see Truecaller’s spam-blocking and caller ID features integrated into the Cyanogen OS dialer on all future devices that ship with the OS. Those who already have a Cyanogen OS-powered device will receive an OTA update in the coming months with Truecaller included. It must be noted that the feature is optional and users are asked during the phone’s setup whether they would like to activate Truecaller.

Cyanogen is a mobile OS built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and offers own redesign and tweaks to Google’s OS. In December, Truecaller crossed 100 million users with new features while last month it updated Windows Phone app with new UI and more.
