Samsung Wallet to shut down on June 30


Samsung Wallet will no longer be available for users starting June 30. The company is pulling the plug on the service that allowed users to keep their coupons, gift cards, loyalty cards, boarding passes and membership numbers.

Samsung informed about the shut down via an email to Wallet users. The email notes that any tickets or reservations made by users through Samsung Wallet will be available after its termination. Coupons clipped with in the Samsung Wallet will no longer be available after the Termination Date. Also, Samsung said that users personal information will be handled in accordance with companies Privacy Policy.

The move comes from Samsung as it is working on Samsung Pay service that is expected to be launched in second half of 2015. It is expected that Samsung will add some of the Wallet features to Samsung Pay.
