HTC has announced that its does not intend to launch a mini version for the One M9. The company which has earlier launched a cheaper and downsize version of its flagship phones will not do the same for the latest one.
HTC President North Asia, Jack Tong said that the latest move will end the company’s “mini” product lineup created two years ago, which consists of the 4.3-inch HTC One mini launched in July 2013 and the 4.5-inch HTC One mini 2 launched in May 2014. HTC had earlier launched mini versions of One M7 and One M8.
Overall the industry is moving towards new phones over 5 inches in size and our product roadmap is close to that of the industry,”
said Jack Tong.
HTC is taking this step owing to a substantial increase in user adoption of larger screen phones over the small ones.
