Shazam now supports Android Wear and gets voice search integration

Shazam will now work on your Android Wear smartwatch with the latest update. The popular music recognition app can now identify songs directly from your smartwatch.

The feature comes with an update to the Shazam Android app, which also integrates more deeply with Google’s voice commands. You can now launch the app on your phone by saying, “Shazam this song” or “OK Google, launch Shazam.” Shazam will use your watch’s built-in mic to listen to the track, then display all necessary information right there on your wrist.

Besides recognizing a song, Shazam will also offer lyrics to users and they will see the results by simply swiping right. Also, song lyrics will be placed on your smartwatch instantly. Shazam a song from Android Wear and it will added to your My Shazam list. In order to get the latest features, users will have to update the latest Shazam app.  Earlier this month, Shazam and Google teamed up to launch the former app directly from search results thereby offering hands free music.
