Reliance Jio inching closer to 4G launch across India

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited is gearing up for its 4G service launch across India. The company will soon unveil its office infrastructure set up around 880 cities and towns of the country.

Reliance Jio is currently carrying out field tests in Reliance plants at Navi Mumbai, Jamnagar and a few other locations.The company is working hard to fulfill the minimum rollout obligation giving in the Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) for the spectrum sale held in 2010. This requires the company to cover 90% of its service areas before 31st August, 2015.

Moving on, the company is setting up infrastructure keeping in mind growing demand for high-speed data and is getting new talent and experts across fields on board at all the locations. Reliance Jio holds the liberalized bandwidth that authorizes it to offer 4G services across spectrum bands of 800 MHz, 2300 MHz and 1800 MHz with an integrated ecosystem. The company had informed that it is making an investment of Rs. 70,000 crores for its 4G venture. In addition, it is also working along with OEMs, ODMs and chipset vendors for device engineering and design in order to ensure that they work seamlessly on its network. Reliance Jio will team up with retailers just 2-3 weeks before the official launch of its services.
