Skype for iPhone updated with web links in previews for chat, Apple Watch integration and more

Skype has updated iPhone app that puts more focus on making conversations more easier. The update bumps the app to version 5.13 and brings web links in previews for chat, Apple Watch integration and more.

Now when a iPhone user sends or receives a web link they will get a preview of the content, making it much easier to see it before opening it. reviews are available when you send or receive a web link and support video content, blogs, news websites and many other types of web content. Though not a major one, the latest update does make it easier to access the content shared.

We already know that Skype for iPhone app supports the Apple Watch. This will let users reply to a chat directly from the watch and not require you to take out your iPhone. You can respond to a Skype chat with your Apple Watch by using your voice to create a message to send. To favorite a contact, go to the iPhone app, swipe to the favorites view and tap add favorites at the bottom of your favorite list.

In addition to speech-to-text, Skype for Apple Watch also supports prepared responses and the full set of emoticons. Finally, users can also manage incoming Skype calls on your watch. Skype for iPhone was last updated in February with URI support and improved dialler.
