We have selected a few devices that we think are value for money products and have put them in a list of 1 to 10, based purely on their pricing (High to Low). Of course, all these smartphones come with few compromises, and that’s why we didn’t rank them on the basis of performance or best pick, because that always differs from one person’s choice to another.
1. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G – Price Rs. 9,999
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is a single-SIM device from Chinese manufacturer that was first launched in China in August last year, and came to India in November.
Priced at Rs. 9,999, the Redmi Note 4G was initially made available through Flipkart, but now it is also available via Amazon, Snapdeal, and across 133 Airtel exclusive stores in six cities – Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Kolkata.
For specifications, the Redmi Note 4G includes a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS LCD display, is powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage with microSD card expansion (up to 64GB), a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3100mAh battery.
We know that the Redmi Note 4G is a bit old device to purchase, but it is still a good deal for the price. If you can invest Rs. 3,000 extra, then our pick would be Xiaomi Mi 4i, which is priced at Rs. 12,999 and is exclusively available through Flipkart via flash sales. 2. Asus ZenFone 5 (A501CG) – Price Rs. 9,999
The Asus ZenFone 5 (A501CG) with 16GB internal storage was launched in July last year at Rs. 12,999, alongside the ZenFone 4 and the ZenFone 6. In January this year, Asus had slashed the price of the smartphone to Rs. 9,999 and can be purchased from Flipkart and Amazon at any time.
For the specifications, Asus ZenFone 5 (A501CG) include a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) IPS display, is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, packs an 8-megapixel rear and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. 3. Huawei Honor 4X – Price Rs. 9,999
The Huawei Honor 4X was first unveiled last year in October and launched in India in March this year at Rs. 10,499. The smartphone is exclusive to Flipkart and can be purchased for a discounted price of Rs. 9,999.
The Honor 4X comes with a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The 8GB of internal storage is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It supports 4G network on both the SIM cards.

4. Yu Yureka – Price Rs. 8,999
Micromax’s Yu Televentures unveiled the Yu Yureka smartphone in December last year, and started selling through flash sales on Amazon from January 2015.
The Cyanogen OS-based smartphone features dual-SIM support – Micro-SIM cards (4G+3G). It features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 267ppi. It runs on a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC (MSM8939) processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The 16GB of inbuilt storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The Primary rear camera on Yu Yureka is a 13-megapixel Sony Exmor CMOS sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while there is a front-facing 5-megapixel camera also onboard. 5. Lenovo A7000 – Price Rs. 8,999

6. Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G – Price Rs. 7,999
The Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G is mostly identical to the Moto E (2nd Gen) 3G model, but is surely a better device because of its 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 4G network support.
Upfront, both smartphones – the Moto E (2nd Gen) and Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G – feature a 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixel) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. 7. Lenovo A6000 Plus – Price Rs. 7,499
The Lenovo A6000 Plus was launched by the company in April this year and considered as the upgrade to Lenovo A6000. In terms of looks and specifications the A6000 Plus is identical to A6000 except that it features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone can be purchased from Flipkart flash sales.
Other specifications include a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display, a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU, an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, a 2-megapixel front camera, and a 2300mAh battery. which is rated to deliver up to 22 hours of talk-time on 2G and 13 hours on 3G. 8. Xiaomi Redmi 2 – Price Rs. 6,999
Xiaomi Redmi 2 is the successor smartphone to the last year’s Redmi 1S. It comes with 4G dual-SIM support i.e. both SIM card slots support 4G networks.
The features a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display same as the Redmi 1S. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The 8GB of inbuilt storage can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

9. Yu Yuphoria – Price Rs. 6,999
Micromax’s subsidiary YU launched its second Cyanogen OS-based smartphone dubbed the Yu Yuphoria in India last month at Rs. 6,999. It is a dual-SIM 4G smartphone and features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12 out-of-the-box.

10. Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) – Price Rs. 6,999
Lastly, you can also go for the Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 3G variant for Rs. 6,999, though the compromises you will have to make is the lack of 3G support and under powered quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC coupled with Adreno 302 GPU.
Other specifications are the same as 4G model, which include a 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixel) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
