Apple Music streaming service official, coming June 30 to iOS, Mac and PC, Android later this year

Apple Music

Apple has finally announced its Apple Music streaming service at the WWDC. This is an all-in-one app for discovering music from a catalog with over 30 million songs, listen to your own music library and also listen to ‘Beats 1’ 24-hour radio that is broadcast 24/7 live from cities in over 100 countries around the globe. It is headed by Zane Lowe and his handpicked team of renowned DJs. Apple Music also has music videos without ads.

Apple Music Station

You can also build your own station. You just need to select a song, album, or artist and it will practically build itself. You can adjust the mix to hear more songs you know or discover new ones. The more you fine-tune the station, the more personalized it becomes. Apple Music Radio gives you stations created by some of the world’s finest radio DJs. In addition to human curation, you can also ask Siri search for music such as best songs from a year or the best song from an artist.

Apple Music Connect lets artists share lyrics, backstage photos, videos and also release their latest song to fans directly from their iPhone. Fans can comment on or like anything an artist has posted, and share it via Messages, Facebook, Twitter and email. And when you comment, the artist can respond directly to you, says Apple.

Apple Music will be available on June 30 in over 100 countries for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and PC and will be available for Android and Apple TV in the fall. After a 3-month free membership, you have to pay $9.99 per month for single membership and 14.99 per month for a family plan that provides service for up to six family members. You can even sign up with Apple ID to listen to Beats 1 and Apple Music radio stations with limited skipping on all these devices except Android.
