iPad Pro said to sport 2732×2048 pixel resolution as per iOS 9 source code

More details about the iPad Pro have surfaced in a new iOS 9 source code. Two developers Troughton Smith and Hiraku Wang are now suggesting that the iPad Pro will sport a resolution of 2732×2048.

The iPad Pro is touted to sport a 12.9-inches screen and considering the latest resolution, it seems like the tablet will have a Retina display. The current iPad Air 2’s screen measures 9.7 inches and features a resolution of 2048 x 1536. That means there are 264 pixels per inch. Apple would have to increase the resolution to 2,732 x 2,048 in order to keep that same pixel density on a 12.9-inch screen.

The iPad Pro that is expected to be announced later this year is said to have features like Bluetooth stylus, NFC, Force touch, USB C port and more. Apple announced that iOS 9 will have a split screen display and the iPad Pro’s large 12.9 inch screen will make the experience effective. A different report in January had stated that the company is planning to launch a stylus with the iPad Pro. The stylus is said to get advanced features like built-in gyroscopes or accelerometers and it use a Lightning connector to charge.
