BlackBerry teased a dual-curved slider smartphone with a large touch screen display running on BlackBerry OS 10 at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. Now specifications and release date of the smartphone has surfaced online. According to the leak, the Slider is codenamed Venice.
The recent rumors says that the smartphone will feature a 5.4-inch Quad HD display, powered by a 1.8 GHz Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset 64-bit SoC, 3GB RAM, come with a 18-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It will likely support 4G LTE connectivity, but there are no details about the battery capacity yet.
A recent Reuters report said that an upcoming BlackBerry smartphone will run on Google’s Android operating system and it could be the same slider smartphone that was shown-off at the MWC. The BlackBerry Venice is rumored to release sometime in November 2015. More details are expected in coming months.
