LG G4 vs LG G3 vs LG G2 Photo Gallery

LG had announced its flagship phone G4 in April this year. The latest flagship from LG was officially launched in India for Rs. 51,000 yesterday. Let’s compare the phone to its predecessors G3 and G2 in this photo gallery.

The LG G4 and G3 sport a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD display at 538 ppi while the G2 has a 5.2-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display at 423 ppi. The G4 is powered by a  1.8 GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with Adreno 418 GPU, the G3 is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor with Adreno 330 GPU while the G2 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor with Adreno 330 GPU.

The G4 runs on latest Android 5.1 Lollipop while the G3 got the update in December last year and finally G2 received the Lollipop update earlier this week. The G4 comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory and expandable memory with microSD in comparison G3 has 2GB / 3GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD, while the G2 has a 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB / 32GB of internal memory.

The G4 sports a 8MP front facing camera on the other hand the G3 and G2 have only 2.1MP camera. All the three devices come with earpiece at the center along with usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors.

All the three phones have on-screen touch buttons and LG logo on the bezel below the display.

All the three phones have a secondary microphone and the Infrared LED at the top. There are no keys or buttons on either sides of all three phones. LG G4 measures 148.9×76.1×9.8-6.3mm and weighs 155 grams while the G3 is 146.3×74.6×9mm and weighs 151 grams and the G2 measures 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9mm and weighs 140g.

All the three phones have 3.5mm audio jack, microphone and the micro USB port on the bottom. The G2 also has loudspeaker grill at the bottom.

All the three phones have power/auto and volume rockers at the back. The G4 has a 16MP rear camera with OIS 2.0, F1.8 aperture, LED Flash and Laser Auto Focus with 4K video recording at the back. In comparison, the G3 and G2 sports a 13MP rear camera with OIS, Dual LED Flash. The G3 has Laser Auto Focus and 4K video recording, however, the G2 supports 1080p video recording.

Both the G4 and G3 have loudspeaker grill at the left side on the back cover.

The G2 has a plastic back cover, the G3 also comes with a plastic back cover with metallic finish while the G4 sports a leather finish back cover. Both the LG G4 and the G3 that were launched in India has 4G support, but the company launched the 4G variant of the LG G2 separately.

Both G4 and G3 have removable back cover but not the G2. All the three phones have 3,000mAh battery.
