We recently reported that Motorola had begun soak tests for the Android Lollipop roll out for its 2013 edition Moto X handset. Today, the company has announced that it is beginning the Android 5.1 over the air roll out for carrier unlocked models in the US and Brazil.
David Schuster from Motorola has announced that the update will be rolling out in the United States, Brazil and for devices sold by Rogers in Canada. The company has been quite good when it comes to Android updates.
The update for the 2013 edition Moto X trails the OTA update that was recently started for Motorola’s 2014 edition Moto X. Hitting devices 3 months after the announcement of Android 5.1 Lollipop, the release version of the software build is 222.21.15.
