Samsung might not launch an Edge variant with the Galaxy Note 5 this year

Samsung normally unveil the latest Galaxy Note smartphone every year at IFA in Berlin and last year along with the Note 4, they also launched the Note Edge. The Edge formula has been a success for Samsung which they even followed up with the S6 and S6 Edge. However new reports state that Samsung won’t be announcing an Edge variant of the Note 5 when it launches this year.

This report is contrary to what most rumors have indicated as most of them do mention an Edge variant being readied for a launch alongside the Note 5. It also says that there isn’t any Edge variant in the pipeline and that there are no plans for one either.

Perhaps we will see Samsung releasing a different model that introduces a new type of innovation. They had released the Galaxy Round after the Galaxy Note 3. The Round was a curved smartphone that had a horizontal curvature instead of the vertical curvature of the LG G Flex and G Flex 2.

Or perhaps we might see Samsung announce the S6 Edge Plus model that has been doing the rounds lately, we will just have to wait and see.
