Lenovo has appointed Rahul Agarwal as the Managing Director for Lenovo India. Rahul takes over from Amar Babu, who will now take on a regional mandate as COO, Lenovo, Asia Pacific and Chairman, Lenovo India.
Rahul Agarwal has been the Executive Director, Commercial & Enterprise Business, Lenovo India, and has been heading the Commercial Business since April 2011. He played several key roles including heading the Lenovo marketing and leading Lenovo’s global marketing hub in Bangalore. Prior to Lenovo, Rahul was associated with IBM’s PCD (PC Division).

Rahul has led the Commercial Business successfully over the last 3 years and contributed to Lenovo India’s overall success. During the last 10 years at Lenovo, Rahul managed many roles in sales and marketing and has contributed significantly in growing the brand in the country. He holds a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Last week, Lenovo launched the K3 Note in India for Rs 9,999 and announced that it is planning to set up a manufacturing unit in the country.
