Up until now, for users in India, the only official portal from Xiaomi to buy products in India was through their Indian website. Now, users will be delighted to hear that Xiaomi have released a Global Beta version of their Mi Store app for Indian customers.
Users could also purchase Xiaomi’s products through Flipkart and its application but now they have a more direct and easier approach to get their favorite gadgets. While the application is still in the Beta phase, you can still access a lot of features. Users can login, set up multiple addresses, collect and redeem coupons, view their orders (current and closed) as well as their returns.
You can purchase Xiaomi devices as well as accessories through the application. Currently in terms of smartphones, the Mi 4, Mi 4i, Redmi 2 and the Redmi Note 4G are available. You can also get the Mi Pad tablet and accessories such as the Mi Band, Power Banks, protective cases, back covers and the Mi light. It isn’t available on the Play Store yet so you will have to download an apk file to install the application. Do make sure that you allow apps from unknown sources to be installed on the phone otherwise the installation may fail. You can choose to revoke the permission once the app has been installed. The application can be downloaded here. Currently the application is available only for Android users and we are not sure if Xiaomi is working on the app store for iOS or Windows devices yet.
