Meizu has introduced a new 10,000mAh power bank at the MX5 launch event in China. This simple and elegant design and promises 93% charging conversion rate. It also has two-way fast charging so that you can charge the power bank quickly and also charge the MX5 smartphone with mCharge faster-charging support, up to 58% in 30 minutes and 100% in just 83 minutes.
It has lithium-ion polymer batteries manufactured by Chinese battery maker Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) that supplies batteries for Apple. It has power indicator LEDs along with a micro USB charging port and a full USB port. It has 11 stages of protection and measures 143.5mm x 75.4mm x 17.4mm. It has 5V-2A or 9V/12V-2A input and 5V-2A output for normal charging and 9V-2A / 12V-1.5A output for fast charging.
Meizu also introduced Depth-VR, a Google Cardboard-like virtual reality cardboard. This is priced at 49 Chinese Yuan ( Rs. 500 / US$ 8 approx.) and goes on sale in China from July. The power bank is priced at 149 Chinese Yuan ( Rs. 1530 / US$ 24 approx.) and is available for order through crowdfunding in on jd.com in China. No word on global roll out yet.
