Google is bringing new customization features to Gmail on Web. The Gmail app on web is getting new themes and emoji that will spruce up your email experience.
Google is adding more than 100 new themes to Gmail on web that allows users to customize inbox with color palette options and background images. Users can select a large number of high resolution images as the background for their inbox. Some of these images are captured by Googlers themselves. In addition, Google is adding editing tools like blur, vignette, and text background, using which you can further make your inbox more attractive.
Moreover, Gmail for web gets support for emojis that have become an important part of the messaging ecosystem. Now users can choose ’emojis for just about every occasion’ and enhance their conversations on Gmail. Google says the update will roll out to everyone over the next few days. The company said in May that Gmail now has a total of 900 million users, up from 425 million in 2012, and 75 percent would access the service from mobile devices.
