Samsung Z3 might be announced at Tizen Developer Summit – Packs 5″ SuperAMOLED display and quad core processor

Samsung might be getting ready to announce the Z3 at the Tizen Developer Summit which is scheduled to take place in India on July 30th and 31st. A new import listing shows that the handset has been imported to India last week for testing purposes.

The Samsung Z3 has a model number SM-Z300H and 5 units were imported into India on 3rd July. However apart from R&D purposes, the import listing also mentions that the devices are being imported for a partnering event. That should mean that Samsung is getting ready to announce and show off the units at the Developer Summit.

The device has a 5″ SuperAMOLED display with 720p resolution and will be powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7730S processor clocked in at 1.3GHz. It will have 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of storage that can be expanded using microSD cards. There will be an 8 Megapixel camera along with a 5 Megapixel front facing camera and a 2600 mAH battery to power the device.

The 8 Megapixel camera will reportedly have Autofocus and an LED flash. Both the cameras are said to have 1/4″ sensors as well. Although the price of the listing shows that each unit costs Rs 13,039, the final price of the device will depend on the tax and other charges imposed by the government.
