Micromax has launched Bolt S301, the company’s latest affordable 3G smartphone in the Bolt series and the successor of Bolt S300 that was launched earlier this year. It has a 3.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). The company has promised to offer Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 1.3-megapixel rear camera without flash and a VGA front-facing camera. It has Smart Dual-SIM capabilities and comes pre-loaded with Quikr, Snapdeal and Scandid apps.
Micromax says that it is selling close to 1.5 million 3G smartphones every month and has share of 25% in the 3G category in India. The Bolt S series smartphones are targeted extensively to the first time movers from feature phones to smartphones.
