WhatsApp has silently updated WhatsApp on the Web with several new features. First spotted by Android Police, WhatsApp Web now lets you change your profile photo by uploading an image, capturing an image and set it as a profile photo if you have a webcam or remove the profile photo. It also offers more control over your chats and groups.
Now you can view contact info, delete or archive individual chats and mute or exit groups from the web. When you are viewing group info, you can also add participants, change the group icon and also change the subject. According to Android Police, there are keyboard shortcuts for some functions, but these are not stable yet.
WhatsApp introduced its web client earlier this year. It got skin tone emojis and some minor features over the past few months, but these new features are definitely good.
