Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab S2, successor of last year’s Galaxy Tab S series. These come in 8-inch and 9.7-inch variants and pack Super AMOLED displays at QXGA resolution, are powered by a Octa-Core Exynos SoCs and run on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). These have a 8-megapixel rear camera without LED flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. These are just 5.6mm thick, making it the world’s thinnest tablets currently. These come in Wi-Fi and 4G variants.
The display offers 94% of Adobe RGB color coverage for accurate color output, better than the Tab S, said the company. These have a built-in Fingerprint Scanner on the home button. Adaptive Display automatically adjusts gamma, saturation, and sharpness based on the application being viewed, the color temperature of the viewing environment and ambient lighting.
