Acer finally launched its first fitness tracker for the U.S. market. The Acer Liquid Leap+ can be purchased via company’s online store as well as leading retailers.
The Liquid Leap+ was first unveiled at MWC 2015 in March. It features a 1-inch OLED touchscreen without any physical buttons and is IPX7 waterproof (1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes).
The Acer Liquid Leap+ can track multiple functions (steps, running distance, sleep patterns and calories burned), and syncs with Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices using companion Acer Leap Manager app. The user interface provides music controls (play, pause, previous and next), and email, calendar, SMS notifications. Acer claims that the Activeband uses low energy Blutooth 4.0 and has an estimated battery life of 5 to 7 days. The Acer Liquid Leap+ comes with three interchangeable colour bands – Charcoal Black, Fuchsia Pink and Lime Green. With a band attached, the Liquid Leap+ weighs just 0.63 ounces (18 grams). Priced at $79.99, Liquid Leap+ is available to purchase via leading retailers and Acer’s online store.
