Sony has started rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop update to a range of Xperia devices. The firmware update is coming to Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop update focuses on improved customisation options that lets you have even more control over the way volume, silent modes and your alerts function. Users now get a new LinkedIn integration, camera improvements that focus on faster, more accurate Superior Auto Mode focus for great images. The update brings enhanced enterprise support with latest Xperia in Business features for work. Finally, there is a SmartWear integration that makes taking selfie easier, with SmartWatch 3 as a remote shutter button.

The OTA update will hit Xperia devices soon and you will be notified. Users can also check for the update by manually heading to the Settings-About Device-Software Update-update. “Check for Updates” option. Sony also announced that Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra will receive the Android 5.1 Lollipop update starting over the coming weeks. Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3, then the original Xperia Z Series, Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua will also receive the update soon, said Sony.
