Motorola launched the Moto G (3rd gen) in India today at an event in Delhi. The phone is priced at Rs. 11,999 for the 1GB RAM with 8GB storage variant and 2GB RAM with 16GB storage variant costs Rs. 12,999. Let’s take a detailed look at the hardware and specs of phone in this photo gallery.
The Moto G (3rd gen) sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU. Running Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), it has 1GB RAM with 8GB internal memory / 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD.
At the front the phone has the earpiece at the center and the 5MP front-facing camera with 72-degree wide viewing angle.
There are three capacitive touch buttons at the end of the display and also a front speaker.
The volume rockers and power button is present on the right side. It measures 142.1 x 72.4 x 6.1-11.6mm and weighs 155 grams.
The micro USB port is present at the bottom.
A 3.5mm audio jack and a microphone is situated on the top.
The back of the Moto G (3rd Gen) features an updated design with a new metallic accent around the camera and a new texture for additional grip. Motorola’s trademark Moto dimple is also present at the back.
Two micro SIM card slots and a micro SD slot is present underneath the removable back cover. The phone has a 2,470mAh non-removable battery.
The Moto G (3rd gen) comes with IPX7 rating for water resistance that can withstand immersion in up to 3 feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. It supports connectivity options like 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. The phone comes in Black and White colors and will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting tonight.
