ZUK Z1 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, USB 3.0 Type-C, 4100mAh battery announced

 

ZUK Z1, the first smartphone from Lenovo-backed startup ZUK has been introduced in China. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with ZUI. It has aircraft-grade aluminum metal frame. The main highlight is the reversible USB 3.0 Type-C port that would offer up to 10 times faster data transfer compared to USB 2.0.

It also has a home button with built-in fingerprint sensor. The company is calling it  U-Touch that can act as a Home button when hard pressed, Back button on touch and double-clicked for multitasking. It has dual (nano) SIM support with 4G connectivity (TDD-LTE bands 38, 39, 40, 41, FDD-LTE bands 1, 3, 7) on both. It packs a 4100mAh battery, with 5.3V-2.5A fast charger it takes just 2.5 hours to charge fully.

The ZUK Z1 comes in White and Grey colors and is priced at 1799 Yuan ( US$ 284 / Rs. 18,280 approx.). It is taking registrations for the sale on August 18th on its website.
