Fossil and Intel team up for Android Wear running smart watch

Over at the Intel Developer Forum, watch giant Fossil has teamed up with the chipset manufacturer to launch its play in the connected wearables segment. Part of three connected accessories launched by the fashion brand, the smart watch merges the design language of the Moto 360 and the LG Watch Urbane to create a rather butch looking offering.

Not much is known about the smart watch  yet other than the fact that it will be powered by an Intel SoC. We do know that it packs a round display similar to the Moto 360 including the flat strip at the bottom. Whether it includes the light sensor under that in the same vein as the 360 remains to be seen. The Android Wear running device appears to be a leather and shiny metal affair and Fossil is expected to reveal more details near the holiday season. In addition to the smart watch, the company is also working on a connected bracelet and yet another watch that might not be powered by Android Wear and wasn’t shown off.
