Google Photos latest update lets you discover old photos

Just yesterday, Google updated Google Photos with ability to rearrange photos and trim videos. Today, another update is rolling out to Photos that will enable you to resurface old photos and videos.

After activating the feature, Google Photos will notify you of moments or events from the past through cards in the app’s Assistant. It shows a collage of photos, people and places from that date. These photos can be shared easily via social networks or email. The new feature that is opt-in will work with Photos app on Android and iOS as well as desktop browser. However, it is currently rolling out to iOS users and will come to Android soon.

“If you snapped photos on a hiking trip this time last year, chances are that Google Photos will let you know. And with a lifetime’s worth of photos and videos in one place, you’ll have lots of memories to look back on.”

said Google in a post.
