Carl Pei, one of the co-founders of OnePlus has just posted the link to the OnePlus 2 Kernel on his twitter profile. The kernel will allow developers to create custom ROMs for the device.
OnePlus is a largely community driven company and their users love to have their own custom ROMs installed on their devices. The original OnePlus One was also known to have a lot of developers making custom ROMs and a very active community. The OnePlus 2 is also expected to be as popular if not even more so among users and the developer community.
Earlier this month, OnePlus 2 received an update with battery and stability improvements and fixes. Now after the release of the Kernel, it is quite evident that they are trying hard to keep their users happy. The OnePlus 2 comes preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with their own Oxygen OS on top.
