The Nokia E5 was just announced and we just learnt that it’s a successor to the Nokia E63. It’s a Business phone powered by Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP2. the phone packs a 320×240 display and measures 115 mm x 58.9 mm x 12.8 mm. It weighs 126 gms and has a nice metallic finish on the rear.The mail highlights of the E5 is the Email and Instant messaging with 1 click access to SMS, EMail and IM. The QWERTY keypad is similar to the E63 and there is a dedicated keys for Home and Messaging.
Speaking of Email the phone supports Yahoo Mail , Gmail , Hotmail , Ovi Mail and Microsoft Exchange.
The Nokia E5 is perfect for managing busy schedules with a variety of productivity applications available in the Ovi Store. And with direct access to over 90 percent of the world’s corporate email through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, it’s easy to keep in contact from anywhere.
The most significant addition to the home screen is the contacts bar. Facebook is integrated into the Phonebook.
On the connectivity front the E5 is capable of hi-speed access via 3G ( HSDPA , WCDMA, HSUPA ) and Wireless LAN / WiFi.
There is Bluetooth v2.0 and Integrated A-GPS with Free Navigation through OVI Maps.
The phone supports Quadband GSM and Triband 3G networks
On the Multimedia front the phone packs a 5 Megapixel Camera with Flash with capability to share pictures to Ovi share and Flickr . You can listen to music via the 3.5mm audio jack.
The phone has 250 MB internal memory and support for microSD memory cards up to 32 GB. A 2gb card is included in the box.
The E5 delivers the same splendid battery life of the E-series clan with talk time of 18h 30 min 7.5 hours (GSM), and 5h 30 min (3G) with Standby time of 29 days

Nokia E5 Price and Availability
Nokia E5 is expected to cost Rs.11,000 approx or EUR 180 before taxes . It will be available in July 2010.
