Koushik Dutta (Koush), the popular developer has developed a new tool for Android users allowing them to control their phone or tablet from their computer. Dubbed as Vysor, the Chrome app works on Windows, Mac OS X, and Chromebooks.
When Vysor detects your device, you will get a floating window on your desktop that will mirror your device’s screen. Once this is done, you will be able to unlock your screen and interact with it using your mouse. Along with letting you mirror and control your Android devices, users can share remote session to someone else with Vysor installed on their Chrome. This gives that user the same ability to view and control the existing Vysor session. You can use the keyboard as well as the touchpad or mouse to control the screen
Vysor is a great tool for developers, which gives them the ability to share their device to another computer anywhere in the world simply by sharing a link. The app which is still in beta is expected to have few bugs but it will be free. However, the developer said that once, the app is out of beta it will not be free and will be a paid app with few tiers such as Vysor (one time purchase, local viewer only), Vysor Indie (monthly sub, includes Vysor share, sub since there’s a server component) and Vysor Device Farm (monthly sub as well).
