Samsung Galaxy Note5 Unboxing

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note5 smartphone at its Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this month along with the Galaxy S6 edge+. It launched the Galaxy S6 edge+ in India for Rs. 57,900 last week, which goes on sale in the country starting from today, but the Galaxy Note5 is expected to launch only next month. We managed to get a 64GB version of the Galaxy Note5 (SM-N920I) from Singapore, and here is the unboxing.

The Galaxy Note5 packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, is powered by a Octa-Core ( Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos 7420 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on top. It has 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and comes in 32GB or 64GB variants without microSD expansion slot.

It has improved S Pen stylus with push to eject/insert mechanism. Air Command launches instantly when the S Pen is removed so that you access Action Memo, Smart Select, Screen Write and more easily. You can also add up to 3 favorite app shortcuts. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. It also has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button that can now be used for Samsung Pay as well. It has 4G LTE connectivity. The version which we got will be launched in India since it has support for B3 (1800MHz) and B40 (2300MHz).

It has a similar design as the Galaxy S6 series with a glass back. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and OIS and also has a Heart rate sensor. It has a 3,000mAh built-in battery with Fast Charging. The Note5 also comes in White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colors.
