Turing Phone, which is a security-focused Android smartphone has announced that Foxconn will be the exclusive manufacturer of the smartphone, and shipments will begin on December 18. The company started accepting reservations for the smartphones earlier this month.
Invites will be given out to those who reserved the phone on September 21st and a pre-order for the Dark Wyvern special edition will begin on September 24. There is even a Dark Wyvern ‘Glaedr’ special edition option that will be available for $1,299, and only 3,000 of these devices will be produced. The Turing phones are priced at 32GB ($610), 64GB ($740), or 128GB ($870).
The Turing phone has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, features encrypted communication and is built from a metal alloy called liquidmorphium, which is apparently stronger than titanium. It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor and has a 3GB of RAM and features a IPx8 waterproof rating. Other features include 13MP rear-facing camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 3,000 mAh battery,NFC, LTE connectivity. The phone comes in 16/64/128GB storage options and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
