While a refreshed iPhone is guaranteed at the Apple event scheduled for 9th September, it is believed that Cupertino will have a lot more lined up. The much anticipated, iPad Pro might be one of the devices that will finally be revealed at the event.
New information has surfaced which give us a better look at the larger iPad and what it might bring in terms of capabilities. For starters, given the Pro moniker, the iPad Pro is expected to start off with much higher built in storage. Gone are the 16 and 32GB variants with rumors suggesting that the tablet will have 64GB of storage at the base variant. There will of course be variants that will go as high as 128GB with LTE capabilities thrown in for good measure.
Part of the ‘professional’ positioning of the new model will be because of the significantly larger 12.9″ display that the tablet will be equipped with. The new iPad Pro is expected to be able to run two full iPad apps side by side in landscape mode. Powering this will be a new A9x chipset which should be a major improvement over the chipset that it replaces. All in all, it appears that between the Retina Macbook and the iPad Pro, things are about to get quite confusing for consumers wanting an ultra portable machine within Apple’s ecosystem.
