Apple Watch reportedly launching next week in India, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus expected in October

Apple is planning to launch the Apple Watch in India next week, according to a report from ET Tech, citing senior trade officials as sources. The report also says that the latest iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus smartphones are expected to launch by October 10th or 11th, a month ahead of Diwali. Apple is looking to triple the sales of the new iPhones during the festive quarter, October to December, says the report. To remind you, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were launched in India on October 17th, 2014, a month after they were announced.

Apple Watch was released on April 24th in US, UK, China, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and Hong Kong. Later it was released in Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan on June 26th. At its event this week, Apple introduced new Apple Watch cases and bands, including new gold and rose gold aluminum Apple Watch Sport models, but it did not reveal any details about roll out in new countries.

The Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s will go on sale in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK and the US on September 25th. Pre-orders for the sale will begin September 12 in these countries.
