Dell is said to be working on a 2-in-1 tablet in a bid to take on Microsoft’s Surface Pro. Dubbed as XPS 12, the tablet is tipped to sport a 4K display that can be docked onto a keyboard or transformed into a tablet.
The XPS 12 a 12.5 inch touchscreen display that could rotate 180 degrees, allowing you to fold down the lid and hold the laptop like a tablet. Powered by Windows 10, the tablet comes with an Ultra HD 3840×2160 4K display, far superior than that is present on the Surface Pro 3. The tablet that has narrow bezels is accompanied with a digital pen input that is called as Dell Active Stylus. Dell is making the keyboard illuminated for use in low light situations and claims to have a superior quality precision touchpad.
Other features are expected to include a Thunderbolt 3 port with a USB Type-C connector, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a detachable keyboard dock with backlit keys and a touchpad. The table is said to come with a 10 hour battery life and is pre-installed with stylus-friendly apps like OneNote and Bamboo Paper. The Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 is said to be announced next month
