Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphone in India last month for Rs. 57,900. We unboxed it recently, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Galaxy S6 edge+ is powered by a Octa-Core 14 nm Exynos 7420 SoC which has four ARM Cortex A57 CPUs clocked at 2.1GHz per core and four ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.5GHz per core, similar to the Galaxy S6 and theGalaxy S6 edge. It has Mali T760 MP8 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on the top.

Quadrant Benchmark

It scored 36654 points and topped the Quadrant Benchmark, beating the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6.

AnTuTu Benchmark 5

It scored 68784 points in the AnTuTu Benchmark 5 and lies behind Galaxy S6.

Vellamo 2.0 HTML5

It scored 3034 points in the Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser benchmark and grabs the second spot.

Vellamo 2.0 Metal

It managed to score 1477 points in the Vellamo 2 Metal CPU subsystem performance test.

Linpack Single Thread

It clocked around 616.42 MFLOPS, almost similar to other Galaxy S6 series of smartphones.

Linpack Multi-Thread

It clocked around 814.81 MFLOPS, better than the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6 smartphones.

Geekbench 3 Single-Core

It tops the Geekbench 3 Single-Core benchmarks by scoring 1479 points.

Geekbench 3 Multi-Core

It tops the Geekbench 3 Multi-Core benchmarks too by scoring 4820 points.

NenaMark 2

It clocked 60.4 fps in the NenaMark 2 and tops the benchmark.

GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)

it clocked 2097 frames or 37 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex benchmark.

GFXBench 3.0 Manhattan (On screen)

It clocked 926 frames or 15 fps in the GFXBench 3.0 Manhattan benchmark.

3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited

It scored 23610 points in the 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited GPU benchmark and grabs the second spot, behind the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro.

Basemark X 1.0 HD (Onscreen)

It managed to clock around 16.46 fps in the Basemark X 1.0 Onscreen benchmark.

Basemark X 1.0 HD (Offscreen)

It clocked around 22.39 fps in the Basemark X 1.0 Offscreen benchmark.

Basemark OS II
