Opera for desktop has been updated with a bunch of important features. The latest update bumps the version to 32 and brings features such as password sync, SurfEasy VPN download option, bookmarks and more.
Opera acquired VPN service SurfEasy in March, and is using its integration for its desktop version into its flagship browser for Windows, Mac and Linux. Now when you open a private window, or a security badge in the address field, you will find a link to download. It allows you to surf the web safely, privately and anonymously. Next up, the update adds the ability to sync your login details for all the sites you have signed up with and make them available on any Opera browser. Users will have to simply select “Passwords” in the new settings panel, and log in to their service accounts across different computers. Opera said that , it will be available on desktop only but will soon a rollout on other platforms later this year.
Now a new bookmark tree view in Opera 32 lets you view all your saved pages from its drop-down menu or from the bookmark manager’s side panel. This is done by maintaining the view and structure of your bookmarks. Finally, the update allows you to choose an animated background theme for your Speed Dial.
