Skype has rolled out yet another update to its mobile app on Android. The latest update that bumps the app to version 6.2 adds an easy way for users to share their photos.
The app gets a new media bar when you start a conversation on the Skype app and is replaced by the ‘+’ button. By simply tapping on the icon on the toolbar you can quickly send photos, files and other content. Skype for Android and iOS was updated last month with improved navigation feature, swipe gestures and more. Users can also share their location using the app. In addition, Skype has launched a new feature called as Mojis which are short movie and TV clips in the form of text message.
Microsoft has teamed up with Universal Studios, Disney Muppets, BBC for these Mojis. Users can choose from various options like The Muppets, Despicable Me, Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, Jurassic Park and more. You can browse by movie, show, or expression; preview the Moji; and share it directly in your Skype chat. You can send a Moji by tapping on the emoticon icon in a chat. Microsoft said that it is bringing Mojis to latest Skype app for Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS.
