Xiaomi just announced the Mi 4c its latest smartphone in Mi 4 series in China. The company has also introduced Mi Mobile MVNO service in China under which it is offering affordable mobile plans.
The Mi Mobile Pay as you go service offers RMB 0.10 per voice minute, SMS, 1MB, free incoming calls and no roaming charges in China. It supports China Unicom 2G/3G/4G networks. The service comes with no monthly rental fees. An additional caller ID feature charge for the SIM card is RMB 5 per month. Xiaomi says that its MI Mobile service is suitable for frequent business travellers and for those who make a lot of long distance calls.
There is also a 3GB data bundle that is priced at RMB 59 per month. The company says that heavy mobile phone users who access internet will benefit from this data plan. In addition, the Mi Mobile SIM card supports standard, micro and nano SIM card sizes that are compatible with all types of smartphones. There is no word on whether Xiaomi will bring its Mi Mobile MVNO service in India.
