Live Aarti on your mobile from Bharti Airtel


Airtel users can now listen to Live Aartis and Pujas from various temples across India. The shrines included are Tirupati Balaji, Sidhi Vinayak, Shri Sai Baba from Shirdi and Bangla Sahib. Users need to pay Rs.5 as one time registration free and subsequently Rs.2 per shrine per day.

New Delhi, April 21, 2010: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Bharti Airtel, one of Asia’s leading integrated telecom service providers, has launched Live Aarti – now enabling customers to listen to live prayers from their revered shrines through a simple call on their Airtel mobiles. This is India’s first service on mobile offering daily live Pujas and Aartis from shrines. Airtel’s mobile customers can now listen to live Pujas and Aartis from Tirupati Balaji, Sidhi Vinayak, Shirdi Sai Baba and Bangla Sahib. To subscribe, customers simply call 55200 (Tirupati Balaji and Sidhi Vinayak), 55205 (Bangla Sahib) or 55222 (Shirdi Sai Baba) from their Airtel mobile phones and pay a one-time membership fee of Rs. 5 with daily subscription fee of Rs. 2 per shrine only.

Announcing the launch of the service, Mr. Shireesh Joshi, Director-Marketing, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel said, “Airtel continues to innovate and bridge barriers through technology. Airtel Live Aarti is yet another initiative in this direction. Devotees across India can now listen to Aartis – LIVE from some of the holiest places of worship in India. On Live Aarti, Airtel customers can listen to the Kalyanotsayam Live Tirumala, Arjita Brahmotsavan and Sahasra Depalankarana from Tirupati Balaji; Kaakad Aarti and Shaam ki Aarti from Sidhi Vinayak and Kaakad Aarti, Abhishek and Satyanarayan Puja from Shirdi Sai Baba.

Airtel’s Live Aarti will also soon include all other religions to cover places of worship across india. Some of those coming up shortly include Golden Temple, Vaishno Devi, Kashi Vishawanath, Har Ki Podi, Nathdwara, Patna Sahib Gurudwara, and Puri Jagannath.
