Apple iOS 9.0.1

Apple has released minor iOS 9.0.1 update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, a week after it released the major iOS 9.0 update for these devices that is already running on more than 50% of iOS devices. The 35MB update includes several bug fixes for these devices that are related to set up resistant, alarms, Safari browser, Photos and APN setup. Check out the complete changelog.

iOS 9.0.1 update contains bug fixes including:

  • Fixes an issue where some users could not complete setup assistant after updating
  • Fixes an issue where sometimes alarms and timers could fail to play
  • Fixes an issue in Safari and Photos where pausing video could cause the paused frame to appear distorted
  • Fixes an issue where some users with a custom APN setup via a profile would lose cellular data

Apple also released second beta of iOS 9.1 build 13B5119e for registered developers, couple of weeks after releasing iOS 9.1 beta. This brings new Messages option in the Settings app that allows users to disable contact photos. It is not clear when the iOS 9.1 update will be released, but it expected to come along with iPad Pro in November.
