Last month there were reports that Motorola is planning to sell their smartphones through offline retail stores. Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) is not exclusively to Flipkart anymore. The Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G is available from Airtel stores across the country. Both the Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 3G and Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G versions are available from Amazon India and Snapdeal starting from tomorrow, September 25th, says Motorola, but Snapdeal has already started selling the smartphone. These smartphones currently retail at Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999, respectively.

At the Moto X Play launch earlier this month Motorola announced that it has sold 5.6 million smartphones in India. The new move will definitely increase the sales. The company is expected to start selling other smartphones as well, through these retailers in future.

Commenting on the new move, Amit Boni, General Manager, Motorola Mobility India, said:

Responding to growing demand from our consumers we have made a strategic move of increasing the availability of our portfolio across offline and multiple online shopping platforms. To start off, we will be available at select stores for our consumers to experience and purchase the device. Consumers are at the heart of whatever we do and we will leave no stone unturned to enhance their buying experiences.

Commenting on the partnership, Tony Navin, Senior Vice President, Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives, Snapdeal said:

We are excited to launch the very popular Moto E phones from Motorola on Snapdeal. This is a great addition to our smart phones offerings for our customers. We are confident that these phones will be well received by our customer base spread across 5000+ cities and towns of India. With the addition of Motorola phones, we now have the most enviable assortment of mobile phones on our platform. I am confident that our customers will be very excited about the choices and value we are bringing to them, just before the festival season.
