Microsoft releases Invite app for iPhone, enables easier scheduling of meetings

Microsoft has released a new app for iPhone that lets users schedule for meetings. Dubbed as Invite, the app that is a product of Microsoft Garage, will let you set up small events and group meetings.

You will have to sign up to the app with an e-mail address and then the Invite app lets you create an event, suggest various times that work for you and invite anyone from your email account’s address book. After receiving an email or an app notification (provided they have installed Invite), attendees can choose the times that works for them, from the app itself or from a browser. They can also see what options work best for other attendees. After everyone sets their preferences, you can make set the best time for the meeting and the app will automatically send invites to everyone by simply tapping on Send Calendar Invite.

Certain events and meetings can be moved if something more important comes up, but only each person knows best where they are flexible. The Invite app is mainly designed for users with Office 365 business and school accounts. That said, the app also works with any email account, including Outlook.com, Gmail, and Yahoo Mail. Invite is currently only available on iOS the US and Canada, but Microsoft says it will come to Windows Phone and Android soon.
