YouTube’s ad-free subscription service tipped to launch on October 22nd

In April this year it was said that YouTube is working on an ad free video subscription service for the first time that will allows users to watch videos without any advertisement. Now, a new report claims that the video sharing platform will launch this service as early as next month.

A latest report from Re/Code states that the ad free subscription service will launch on October 22nd. The price of the the ad free video subscription service is said to be about $10 per month. YouTube content creators have been getting an email asking them to agree to the new terms by October 22nd or their monetized videos will be switched to private until the new agreement is accepted, said the report.  The email says, “to agree to new terms by October 22 or else “your videos will no longer be available for public display or monetization in the United States.”

Last year in November, YouTube launched Music Key, the company’s new subscription service for web, Android and iOS that lets you watch and listen to music without ads, in the background or offline. The ad free subscription service will first launch in the US and may be expand to other countries later.
