It has an improved 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and Retina Flash that uses a custom display chip to make the display three times brighter for capturing better selfies even in low lighting conditions. It also has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the home button that is more faster compared to the iPhone 6.
On the back there is a new 12-megapixel iSight camera with 1.22um pixels, dual-tone flash and support for 4K video recording. The iPhone 6s has a new Apple A9 processor with M9 motion coprocessor and pack 2GB of RAM. It runs on the latest iOS 9 and comes in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants. The iPhone 6s is 7.1mm thick, which is slightly thicker than iPhone 6. It has new Qualcomm MDM9635M LTE Cat. 6 modem for faster LTE speeds and supports 23 LTE bands.
The body of the new iPhone 6s is made of strong 7000 Series aluminum, so you don’t have to worry about the phone bending. It packs a 1715mAh battery, compared to the 1810mAh battery in last year’s iPhone 6. It also weighs 143 grams, 14 grams heavier compared to the iPhone 6 mainly due to the new 3D Touch display. The iPhone 6s also comes in the usual Silver, Gold and Space Gray colors and is expected to start at Rs. 62,000 when it goes on sale in India next week.
