Meizu smartwatch leaks in images, could be announced on October 21

It looks like Meizu is gearing up for its foray in to the wearables market with an own smartwatch. A unnamed smartwatch from the company has surfaced in leaked images.

The images of the smartwatch were posted by @Ubuntu on Chinese micro-blogging site Webio. As per the images, the Meizu smartwatch looks rugged and sporty. It has a round dial that makes it look similar to the LG G Watch R. The Meizu logo is seen on the back and it comes with a leather black strap. The watch looks bulky and has four pogo pins under the dial for charging. There is no information about the specs of the watch but it will not be powered by Android Wear.

The Meizu smartwatch is expected to boast of features like it will be dust proof and waterproof, and offer the usual health and fitness monitoring similar to the current smartwatches. Earlier today Meizu teased the announce a metal-clad ‘Blue Charm’ device on October 21st and it is said that the smartwatch will be announced at the same time.
