Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ Battery Life Test

Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphone back in August in India starting at Rs. 57900. We recently brought you the unboxing and benchmarks of the smartphone, here we have its battery life test results. The Galaxy S6 edge+ packs a 3000mAh built-in battery with support for both wired and wireless fast charging capabilities. It is slightly bigger than the Galaxy S6 edge’s 2600mAh. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and is powered by and Octa-Core ( Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos 7420 processor . Check out the test results.

Talk Time

It lasted for 25 hours and 2 minutes in our talk time test, similar to the Note5.

3G Browsing

It lasted for just 5 hours and 53 minutes in our 3G browsing test where the Galaxy Note5 takes top spot.

WiFi Browsing

It lasted for 6 hours and 4 minutes in our WiFi browsing test. Again, the Note5 tops this test.

Video Playback

The smartphone lasted for 14 hours and 9 minutes in the video playback test, same as the Note5.

Overall, it achieved a One Charge Rating of 12 hours and 45 minutes, which is decent. This is considerably better than the Galaxy S6’s One Charge Rating of 9 hours and 35 minutes, but it couldn’t beat the Note5 that has the same 3000mAh battery. Check out our battery test procedure, to know more about our tests in detail. We will let you know about the real life performance in the complete review soon.
