Twitter Polls to soon roll out on Android, iOS and web

Twitter is introducing a new feature that will allow everyone to create polls on the micro blogging site. The company has been testing polls with a handful of users, but they will now be rolling out to iOS, Android, and Web over the next few days.

Twitter Poll

“For poll creators, it’s a new way to engage with Twitter’s massive audience and understand exactly what people think. For those participating, it’s a very easy way to make your voice heard”

Twitter, Product Manager, Todd Sherman, posted on a company blog.

With Twitter Polls you will be able to create a poll right from the compose tweet box to get feedback and these Polls will remain live for 24 hours. You can vote on any poll and how you voted is not shared publicly. After the 24-hour voting period is up, everyone who participated will get a push notification informing them of the final result. Currently, Polls are limited to only two choices.

The latest feature comes only weeks after Twitter launched Moments following Jack Dorsey’s appointment as CEO. Twitter has been struggling to increase its users base that is currently over 300 million and all the above measures are attempts to increase user engagement on its platform.
